Built in 1909, Mountain Country Lodge is located in the cool pine tree country, in the northern Arizona town of Williams. First built as a mansion for a wealthy lumber baron, it has had many faces through the years. The lodge is located on the nostalgic Old Route 66 and is within walking distance to all the shops and the railroad station to the Grand Canyon. Guests can get tickets for the train at the lodge. The lodge is at the epicenter of many sights in Northern Arizona, such as the Dinosaur tracks near Tuba City, Jerome ghost town, Chapel of the Holy Cross at Sedona, Montezuma's castle, Grand Canyon Cavern, and the meteor crater, all within an hour or two driving distance.
